Caboodle Mobile Gateway

The Caboodle Mobile Gateway allows seamless connections to services running in your business by providing standard Java based interfaces directly to the device.

Caboodle on the Phone
We provide software 'factories' that run on all the revisions of standard Java Mobile Edition (J2ME) from CLDC1.0 and MIDP1.0 up to the current revisions.

Over the Air
The device element of the Caboodle gateway also contains protocol independent connectors so that developers of Java applications don't have to care or even know whether the connection is over any specific network type (2G, 2.5G, 3G) or specific communications protocols.

The Gateway
Receives connections from the 'over the air' devices and translates them back to standard Java method calls which locate and make requests on services running in your local network. It has an extensible architecture based on plugins for both communications and connections.

Security
The Gateway can be configured to inter-operate with your current web, Internet and LAN security infrastructure

Business Services
Caboodle makes connections with your current system by using a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) approach, via Plain Old Java Objects (POJOs), Java RMI, CORBA, Jini and other service types. We can also connect to a vast array of business systems via third party connectors and translators.

Developer tools
Net Caboodle provides IDE plugins for NetBeans and Eclipse
